Tiyara serves the underserved in the global south through educational scholarships for higher learning. To accomplish its mission, Tiyara works with candidate-facing partners overseas and donor partners. Tiyara offers versatile and hands-on opportunities to a highly driven and committed intern, dedicated to the cause.

The right candidate is someone who is highly cause-motivated, passionate about educational equality, enjoys working with digital media and platforms, is digitally creative and technically savvy, and keeps pace with digital and social media trends

Job Description

Website Design

  • Keep the Tiyara Website Up-To-Date with Web Design Tools

  • Proficiency in Squarespace, Canva, Excel & Mailchimp (nice to have)

  • Edit and Utilize digital media such as videos for the website and/or campaigns

  • Assist in creating and distributing email communications

  • Monitoring the website for responses and comments and responding to queries as assigned

Campaign Design

  • Assist in the design and execution of campaigns and virtual & in-person events

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of related experience

  • University students pursuing related degrees and seeking internships are welcome to apply

  • Professionals taking career breaks are welcome to apply

  • Attention to detail and capacity to produce effective and accurate written, digital, and verbal content 

  • Takes initiative and is self-driven

  • Proactive and highly responsive in communicating with supervisors 

  • Capacity to make positive contributions to ideation and innovation

  • Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the digital and social media space

  • Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of basic HTML coding preferred
